Kia Ora. When you begin your studies at UC you will be well-supported by the Cultural Support Team. They provide the best academic, cultural and social support to ensure your enjoyment and success throughout your studies.
On the UC Māori Students website you'll find really useful information such as the Brownphone monthly newsletter, access information for the Māori mentor programme and contact details for the Cultural Support team.
At the College of Education we provide additional services for our Māori students.
Te Puna i Te Ora Te Puna i Te Ora is the College of Education Māori students study centre. Te Puna is available to Māori students studying teacher education and provides study space, access to computers, teaching resources, kitchen facilities and a friendly support network for students.
Māori oriented activities and events are held regularly during the year and many students come to Te Puna to experience the cultural diversity of Māori in education.
Māori students at the College of Education can gain after-hour card access to Te Puna. For more information contact the Māori Education Support Coordinator, Tamara Kirwan .

There will be kapahaka sessions for all interested held every Tuesday 12-1pm at Wheki 150 building on the College of Education campus.
Whakapiki Reo - Professional Development programme for teachers All our Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary Teacher Education Programmes have bicultural elements.
For Māori students wishing to study at the College of Education, there is a range of scholarships available.
