Congratulations on attaining and accepting a place on the Bachelor of Sport Coaching programme. The programme comprises both study at the University and in the community in a coaching practice role. Any queries can be directed to a College of Education Student Advisor on (03) 343-7713.
On Friday, 22 February 2008, Year One Bachelor of Sport Coaching students will attend an Orientation programme at the College of Education. The programme involves an introduction to the University of Canterbury College of Education campus off Dovedale Ave, and a welcome to the programme by Year Two BSpC students.

On Thursday 21 February and Friday 22 February 2008, Year Two Bachelor of Sport Coaching students will attend an overnight stay at a Marae.
The marae visit is a programme requirement. The visit serves as an introduction to the programme for the incoming Year 1 students with you as the tangata whenua. In this role you are required to completely organise the Pōwhiri to welcome the Year 1 group. Planning for this will have begun at the end of 2007. If you have any reason to believe that you may not be able to attend the marae then you must apply for leave as you would for any other absence.

Meetings will be held in the first week of lectures to clarify coaching practicum and internship requirements.
