Educational Leadership courses aim to assist educational leaders to improve their leadership practices. They focus on the competencies required for effective leadership and efficient management. They are suitable for those already holding leadership and management positions in schools and centres and for those planning for future promotion, particularly aspiring principals and head teachers.
We believe that we increase the capability of educational leaders by:
The PGDipEdLead will be awarded on completion of four compulsory core courses, a research methodology course with leadership project and 30 credits of optional courses.
This qualification will be awarded on completion of seven courses, which include four courses, a leadership project and two optional courses. This qualification will be phased out at the end of 2007.

For the Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership:
Enrolments open in November for the following year for either or both semesters.
Enrolments for Semester Two close in July.
Graduates of the Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership may apply to have 90 credits of Level 8 courses credited towards the Master of Teaching and Learning (MTchLn). A further 30 credits (TL863 or TL864) may also be used to apply for 120 credits in the MTchLn. Completion of the MTchLn will require a further 120 credits which can consist of a research project/thesis/dissertation and/or taught courses.
All DipEdMan courses are accepted as C Schedule courses for the Bachelor of Teaching and Learning Upgrade but do not replace the two compulsory BTchLn courses.
