Regional Locations
In Christchurch the main campus is situated in Ilam (off Dovedale Avenue). It provides a full range of services and amenities for all students. UC Education Plus (previously called Teacher Support Services) is located at the College of Education Campus, Solway Ave entrance, carpark 2.
Elsewhere in the South Island we have a centre in Timaru servicing South Canterbury and a campus in Nelson for pre-service teacher education (Early Childhood and Primary). A new Primary programme for 2012 has been developed in conjunction with local principals. It will include both on-campus and distance learning.
UC Education Plus share the office space in Nelson, accommodating several advisors as well as providing a base for our advisors from our other regions who regularly visit the Nelson/Marlborough region. We also have an office and meeting room in Timaru with a Leadership and Management advisor located there. Contact details for these regional offices are listed below.
In the North Island we have a campus in Tauranga (Early Childhood) and work together with local institutions in other areas to provide our programmes and offer support to distance students. In Rotorua we work with the Waiariki Institute of Technology to provide Primary Teacher Education, and in New Plymouth with the Western Institute of Technology to provide Early Childhood Teacher Education.
You can also study some courses by distance from anywhere in New Zealand.
