The Nelson Campus is situated in the heart of the student district, just a few minutes walk from shops, banks and cafes. In Nelson we offer the:
Professional practice for all of these qualifications can be undertaken locally. While these programmes provide on campus learning, we also offer other courses delivered by distance.
Classes are small and supportive. There is a high degree of student, lecturer, and peer support on campus. Lecturers are committed and get to know you. The campus has a computer suite for students' use, as well as a student common room and kitchen area. In addition, students have access to the facilities of the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology, directly across the street. These services include recreation, health, counselling, disability support, Maori student support, financial advice and career guidance, as well as access to the NMIT library, and all are free!
The campus gives easy access to the beautiful Nelson Region. The campus is located in the student area of the city, within walking distance of the CBD, cafes, art gallery and parks.
Nelson is a small friendly town with accessible services and offers a unique place to study while enjoying a special lifestyle.
Nelson is a city for the arts, with a jazz festival and a classical music festival. Over 300 craftspeople draw their inspiration from the Nelson surroundings, and give this region its ambience of creativity.
The Nelson region is a favourite location for New Zealanders and overseas tourists alike. It offers beaches, easy access to the outdoors, cafes and a thriving arts community.
