Background
Chris has worked in outdoor education and leadership for 17 years for secondary schools, tertiary institutions, international outdoor leadership organisations and outdoor clubs. He holds qualifications in mountaineering, whitewater kayaking and rockclimbing. His PhD research focuses on teaching teachers about outdoor and environmental education.
Currently Chris works part time for School of Sport and Physical Education - College of Education and this varies depending on the term. Chris is a founder of Leave No Trace in New Zealand.
Chris and his wife have travelled and adventured around the world and are now enjoying the challenges of remaining active in the outdoors with a family.
