Welcome to Te Ao Tamariki, the Childcare Centre based at the Dovedale Avenue entrance of the University of Canterbury.

Who can enrol?

• We take children from 6 weeks to 6 years old.
• We welcome enrolments from students, staff and the general community.

What we do

• Offer education and care.
• Work with families/whānau to promote the holistic development and wellbeing of each child.
• Follow Te Whāriki, the early childhood curriculum, as a basis for our programme.
• Provide an environment and activities to stimulte curiosity and a desire to learn.
• Help each child to build a relationship with the teachers and other children to assist their development.

You and your whānau are welcome to participate in your child's education and care experiences at our Centre. We look forward to sharing your culture, values and language with us. You will receive regular information about your child's life at the Centre and we hope that you will feel a valued member of our Te Ao Tamariki family.
