Our record of educational success dates back to 1877 and the merger of the College with the University in 2007 provided us the opportunity to develop a centre of excellence, leadership, and innovation in multidisciplinary research and professional education.
The College of Education includes national and international research leaders in multiple domains of educational study. We have a commitment to world-class research, teaching, and professional development in Education and Human Development through our four Schools (Educational Studies and Human Development; Literacies and Arts in Education; Maori, Social and Cultural Studies in Education; and Sciences and Physical Education), the Health Sciences Centre, UC Education Plus, and a range of research projects and teams.
